wood inspection - next generation
Perception Park enables the detection of early and latewood (heartwood/sapwood) within the annual rings. This allows us to increase the quality and better determine the area to be repaired.
One application example of hyperspectral imaging is the differentiation of heartwood and sapwood in fresh logs, for example in pine. Since the heartwood only changes color on contact with UV light, it is necessary to interrupt production in order to be able to identify clear differences. By using the Perception HEAD, the wood is already examined and classified during sawing. This simply makes production more efficient.
