Impurity detection for sorting raisins

The Perception of the month July shows the possibility to scan raisins. While it is possible to detect the stems of raisins, the most important advantage is that unknown impurities like plastics, glass, cardboard or cigarette filters can be detected too. These unknown impurities will always be displayed in black color.

This offers the great possibility to differentiate between disgusting materials and harmful impurities. Following an ejection unit can be triggered by different intensity.

Data were captured with an Perception System in combination with a hyperspectral NIR camera of the German company Inno-Spec.
